　　however， there are still many people who favor studying at home。 they argue that， for one thing， studying abroad is too expensive and therefore doesn’t pay off。 for another， there are no language and cultural barriers if they study in our country。

　　just as the old saying goes， “every advantage has its disadvantage，” so i believe both opinions are acceptable in some sense。 if students have the chances and financial resources， they should seize the opportunity to go abroad and broaden their eyes。 on the other hand， if conditions don’t permit， they can pursue their studies at top universities in our country。 what counts is not the place where they study， but what they can learn。

　　每天清晨，我都會被爺爺那嘰哩呱啦的英語聲給吵醒。你肯定會疑惑不解，告訴你吧，我爺爺隨著奧運會的一天天臨近，竟然每天早上五點多鐘就開始學英語了。

　　爺爺常說："奧運會是我們中國人的驕傲。"到時肯定會有許多外國人來我們張家港觀光旅游。如果走在大街上老外問咱們問題，咱們聽不懂，也不知道怎么說，肯定會讓他們笑話的。于是，爺爺就去"歐亞"報了個老年英語培訓班。由于爺爺?shù)挠⒄Z基礎很差，學起來就特別的困難，再加上爺爺?shù)囊粋�門牙也掉了，發(fā)起音來更是費勁，而且還要鬧笑話。雖然有這么多困難，但是爺爺很堅持，天天抱著復讀機聽個不停，還樂此不疲。

　　為了把英語學好，爺爺要求我和他用英語互相問候和對話。比如：每天早上他看到我起床就說一聲："Goodmorning（早上好）！"下午放學回家就說："Goodafternoon（下午好）！"等簡單的句子。有一次，我給爺爺?shù)沽吮�茶，他連忙說："Thankyou（謝謝）！"結(jié)果說成了"坦克油"，把我逗的捧腹大笑，差點把剛喝的水給噴了出來。在一旁吃飯的老爸更是笑得前俯后仰。奶奶也一邊笑一邊拍打著爺爺說："老頭子，你都這么大年紀了，普通話都說不標準，還學英語呢，哈哈哈——"。爺爺故作鎮(zhèn)定的說："這有什么好笑的，不就是把音讀的重了一點嘛！"我連忙告訴爺爺說："爺爺，如果你把音讀重了，就有可能變成另外一個意思，那樣的話，外國人就有可能理解錯誤的。"爺爺聽了迫不及待的讓我教他，我耐心的一遍又一遍教他發(fā)音。雖然他的發(fā)音還是不怎么標準，可他堅持不懈的精神值得我們?nèi)�家人贊嘆。

　　爺爺身體不太好，還有糖尿病，醫(yī)生叮囑過爺爺要保證睡眠的充足，可爺爺為了學好英語，晚上仍然堅持去上老年英語培訓班。爸爸也曾勸他多休息，擔心過分的勞累會影響他的身體。但他堅定的對我們?nèi)�家人說："為了北京的奧運，再大的.困難也要堅持！"
