　　My hometown

　　My hometown is Guiyang, a small city in Southwest China, surrounded by rolling green mountains. A river runs through it, with locust trees lining along both banks. In Spring the locust trees all blossom at the same time, spreading the delicate fragrance all around the city. In Summer there will be little boats floating on the river, the laughter of children resonating with the sound of the running water.我的家鄉(xiāng)是貴陽，一個中國西南的邊的小城市，四周群山環(huán)繞。有一條護城河，兩岸種植著槐樹。春天槐樹都在同一時間開花，全城都彌漫著淡淡的芳香。夏天的時候有小舟在河飄動，孩子們的'笑聲在在水流聲間回蕩。

　　I was born and grew up in the city, and I'm very affectionate to it. It rains a lot, but the climate is very mild, neither too cold nor too hot throughout the year. 　　My hometown lies on the Plain of North China. The famous Grand Canal of Chinais to the east of our village. This is the place where my forefathers have lived for generations. When I was a boy I often played with other children near the bank of the canal. I watched the passing boats, and I wished to travel all over the world.

　　There are about 800 people in our village. A pond, teeming with fish, lies in front of the village. I used to swim there in summer and skate in winter. It was in this pond that I spent the happiest days of my childhood.

　　To the north of our village are great fields. When spring comes, the crops begin to grow, turning the fields green. When crops turn yellow in autumn, the peasants start to harvest them.

　　Between the canal and our village is an orchard. There were only a few kinds of fruit trees years ago, but now the peasants grow many sorts, including peach, plum, apple and orange.

　　The majority of the villagers have become much better off. About a quarter of the households have bought television sets and tape recorders. A reading-room and a library have been built. Every evening many young people go to the evening school to learn science and read newspapers.

　　Two roads cross in front of our village. On summer evenings, people sit under the trees enjoying the cool breeze. The houses in our village are well laid out.

　　By the end of last year, 35 students in our village had graduated from senior middle school, and 12 students were enrolled at colleges.

　　This is my hometown. I hope you will make a visit here one day.

　　I was born in a small village with a hill behind it and many big areas of feilds in front. Most of the villagers live in tall buildings like the people in cities.In their home, they have telephones,TV sets,washing machines and so on.They can also use drinking water supplied by the water company in the village,but it costs them a little money every year.If they plant crops, the goverment will give them some money as encouragement.The more land they farm, the more money they will get.All around the year, they work on their farm land for only four or five months.In the rest time,they often work in the cities nearby for money.They needn’t worry about anything for living, such as food or clothes.

　　There is a tall teaching building with a computer room, a reading room, a meeting room,a lab and sixteen class-rooms in our school.Around it are big trees and behind the building is a wide playground for us to do sports on.All the teachers work carefully and teach us very well.

　　What is more,when we are ill or want to do some shopping and so on, everything is OK without leaving the village.

　　But in the past, it is said there were few people living in two houses made of wood,grass and mud.That is why it is still called Two Houses today.It is not hard to imagine what their life was like.

　　Now I feel that I am proud of my hometown.As a student,I must study hard to get more knowledge so that I can build my village better when I grow up.

　　寧波著名的天一閣是我國現(xiàn)存最古老的私人藏書樓，也是世界上現(xiàn)存歷史最悠久的私人藏書樓之一。古色古香的庭院，濃濃的古書風(fēng)情，每次踏上這方圣土，都會讓我對它悠久的歷史產(chǎn)生更多的.敬仰。
