寫作作為一個重要的輸出環(huán)節(jié)在語言教學中占舉足輕重的地位,寫作教學可鞏固已學過的語言知識,發(fā)展學生的語言技能。因為寫作有更多的時間思考,所以對那些語言接受能力較差的學生來說,寫作教學更加適合。當然,寫作教學還可以提高寫作技能本身。英語課程標準也對初一學生英語寫作有明確的要求,即能參照范例寫出或回復簡單的問候卡和邀請卡,能用短語或句子描述系列圖片,編寫簡單的故事。
但初一學生剛從小學升入初中,習慣于小學里把寫作當做翻譯的做法。在他們的習慣意識中,寫作等于枯燥的翻譯,不但沒興趣,且會經常出現這樣那樣的語法、習慣用法的錯誤。因此他們對寫作既不感興趣,又有畏難情緒。美國著名心理學家布魯納也說:“學習的刺激力量乃是對所學教材的興趣!笨梢,興趣是做好的老師,也是使學生持之以恒地學習的催化劑,沒有興趣就沒有求知欲。心理學上提到,所謂興趣,是人們在認識過程中產生的具有傾向性的一種心理現象。興趣的基礎在于需要,對需要的滿足就是成功,這種滿足又會產生新的需要,即產生新的興趣。對于學生來說,這種興趣就是學習的積極性,學習的動力,這就是求知欲。因此,在初一英語作文教學中能否激發(fā)學生的興趣,是提高初一學生英語作文教學成敗的關鍵。筆者通過以下嘗試探索了如何提高初一學生英語作文興趣。
其一,在寫作課教學設計中注重設計情景教學環(huán)節(jié)。情境教學是指在教學過程中為了達到既定的教學目的,教師從教學需要出發(fā),引入、創(chuàng)造或創(chuàng)設一種與教學內容相適應,并能調動學生積極參與到教學過程中的具體場景或氛圍,以引起學生的情感體驗,幫助學生迅速而正確地理解教學內容,促進他們的心理機能和生理機能全面和諧發(fā)展的一種教學方法。運用情境教學法,使盲生具有切身的感受,并建立正確的動作表象。以生活展現情境;以語言描述情境;以實物演示情境以聲音再現情境,從而加深對動作要領的理解,使盲生更加積極的參與到課堂活動中。它是提升教學質量的有效方法和重要途徑在寫作課中,創(chuàng)設情景,引導學生自身去觀察、感受和體驗,吸引學生注意力,使學生產生強烈的求知欲和高漲的熱情,從而引導學生入情入景、會心專心地寫作。
如教學7A U4 Main task 部分,因為本課的中心主題是Healthy eating, 那么如何引導學生對 Millie的Healthy eating 感興趣,從而寫出自己的healthy eating呢?這個過程中如果采用先理解Millie的Healthy eating,再過渡到寫學生的Healthy eating,學生缺少過程的體驗和感知,缺少對Healthy eating的直接感知,不能感悟到Healthy eating的實際意義,因而也不能提起對自己的Healthy eating寫作的興趣。如果創(chuàng)設一個情景,讓學生感知Healthy eating的意義,可能會激發(fā)學生的表達欲望。
其二,讓學生在理解事物的科學內涵過程中滿足其對事物的好奇心,激發(fā)其閱讀和寫作的興趣。心理學指出:人的一切發(fā)明創(chuàng)造來自于好奇心,好奇心是人們對新鮮事物積極探求的一種心理傾向,是人的一種本能,它是人的寶貴品質,好奇心得到滿足就會產生靈感,初一學生本身就對身邊的一切事物懷著一顆好奇心,對事物的科學內涵有著本身的求知欲望。若能幫助學生剖析事物的科學內涵,滿足其好奇心,能夠激發(fā)出他們最大的興趣。
其三,讓學生在寫作過程中有成就感。心理學家認為:孩子的'心理發(fā)展與成就感有密切的聯系,一個充滿自信、樂意在生活中游戲中積極探索的孩子會從一個個成功的體驗中,特別是在具有挑戰(zhàn)性的工作中,通過克服困難取得的成就感中獲得身心的極大愉悅,從而增強自信心和學生的興趣,加速智慧的發(fā)展。新的英語課程標準也指出:“采用活動途徑,倡導體驗參與,讓學生在教師的指導下,通過感知、體驗、實踐、參與和合作等方式,實現目標,感受成功。”可見“成就感”的培養(yǎng)對于英語學習有著重要的作用。
筆者認為在初一學生的英語作文寫作的興趣的培養(yǎng)中,成就感也對他們起非常重要的作用。興趣有時來自學生的不斷努力地嘗試和逐步的成就感,學生在寫作過程中哪怕有一點成就感,也能激發(fā)出一片熱情。為了讓學生不斷用自己的成就感來激勵自己,老師在設置寫作任務時,不能要求過高,讓其難以達到,也不能設置過低讓其喪失自尊心。要讓他們再伸伸手就能摘到頭上的香蕉的方式引導他們寫作,增強其成就感,激發(fā)其寫作熱情。如這課中,讓學生寫自己的Healthy eating時,示范地列個提綱,讓他們列出他們自己的提綱,根據提綱來表達其要表達的思想,既思路清晰,又表達得完整。學生模仿著寫出自己的提綱,對他們來說不難,很容易形成。學生再根據自己所列提綱進行寫作,容易形成流利通順的語言和清晰地文章思路,容易造就學生的成就感,激起學生寫作熱情和興趣。
總之,保持初一學生積極的英語作文態(tài)度是英語作文成功的關鍵。教師應該在作文教學過程中,采用各種可操作的措施,不斷地激發(fā)并強化學生的作文興趣,并引導他們逐漸將興趣轉化為穩(wěn)定的學習動機,以使他們樹立作文自信心,鍛煉他們克服困難的意志,使他們的作文水平和能力不斷提高,為其進一步學習英語打下堅實的基礎。

準備已久的英語競賽終于來臨了。
周五下午4:45,僅剩5分鐘的時候,我們班的16名代表都還在認真復習背書。臨陣磨槍,不快也光。
時間飛快流逝,到了4:50,同學們迅速排好隊到百人會議室集合。大家一走進百人會議室,緊張感就突如其來,不停在1到6單元之間反復背誦,感覺好像第一輪上場的是自己一樣!
比賽題目分三種類型:1挖空填詞。別看這題簡單,實際上挺殘酷,每隊8名選手參加,錯的人直接淘汰下臺。2搶答接龍。分兩個題型,一是給上句接下句,二是連詞成句;答錯扣1分,答對加一分。搶答題要按搶拍器,挺有趣,也考驗反應速度,也是8名選手參加,其中包括我。3課文接龍,就是接龍背誦課文。這是難度最大的一個項目,每個班只派兩名同學參賽。
主持人一上臺,我就馬上冒冷汗,偷偷問周圍的同學緊不緊張,都緊張得說不出話,只是點頭。摸摸她們的手,手心也全是汗。會議室里一片靜寂,幾乎所有人都在默背著課文,準備比賽。聽說跟我比的是個學霸,這更令人不寒而栗!
第一場開始了,我們班因為抽的是第一組,有8個同學需第一輪上臺!凹佑,加油…”同學們都一起在為他們打氣。打頭陣的是周同學,他看上去也有些緊張,三聲準備倒數聲響起,每個人都為他祈禱。“請第一輪選手回到最后!表懫鹨黄坡,他們都對了!一切正常進行。突然主持人的聲音響起:“請5號選手下臺”。我們都緊張了,緊張的原因并不是怪他,是怕他責任心太重,放不下這件事。安慰了一陣子后,他重振旗鼓,為接下來的同學打氣。慶幸的是接下來沒有人淘汰,還取得了一個不錯的成績。
第一場結束,即將開始第二場。站在外面,我就有些緊張了,子越、鈺涵好似讀懂了我的微表情。“放心吧!錯了沒有人會怪你的,加油!”“你們也一樣”。打頭陣的是令祺同學。我們前三個人雖沒搶到,到梓欣的那刻搶到了。她開始沒有答對,有點可惜,但她手速真的快,還搶到了一輪,并且還答對了!“哎呀,你手速真快”。我們都夸她。我們還有艾同學、曾同學、潤杰同學,手速都十分快,每個人都搶答對了,這輪加了不少分。只有我四輪都沒有搶到。那刻,真想找個地縫鉆進去。還是鈺涵安慰道:“沒頭系,我和你一樣,你看我倆都沒搶到!”
第二場結束了,難度最大的一場即將開始,我們班派的'是高同學和鈺涵。“加油,別緊張,你們是最棒的!”。聽余老師說,他們倆都十分緊張,在外面不停背課文。也許是想為班級榮譽而戰(zhàn),也許是不想拖班級后腿,在上臺的那刻,很明顯全身都在發(fā)抖!3,2,1,開始!”第一輪抽到第一課,高同學先打頭陣。很顯然,他的狀態(tài)比彩排好。發(fā)音到位,吐詞清晰,堪稱完美!鈺涵抽到了最難的第五課,她絲毫不畏懼,一路過關斬將。兩人都取得了個不錯的成績。
最激動人心的時刻到了。評委們要作出最后裁決,大家一起呼喊:“六班第一,六班第一!”幾分鐘的等待似乎很久,終于,主持人宣布:“請大家保持安靜,現在公布最后獲獎名次。三等獎……”由于緊張,前面幾名我都沒有聽到初一(6)班!斑,子越,我們班是第幾名?”“好像是一等獎吧!薄笆菃?那么……”“yeah!”全班的歡呼聲頓時響起,全場的掌聲似乎也是在為我們班喝彩。場上氣氛一下子活躍了起來。
這是一次非常難忘的經歷。如果有下一次,我還會爭取參加。我相信初一(6)班還可以再創(chuàng)佳績。為了下一次,我更加要努力把英語學好!
