　　Laba is celebrated on the eighth day of the last lunar month, referring to the traditional start of celebrations for the Chinese New Year. La in Chinese means the 12th lunar month and ba means eight.

　　Legends about the origin of this festivity abound. One holds that over 3,000 years ago sacrificial rites called La were held in the twelfth lunar month when people offered their preys to the gods of heaven and earth. The Chinese characters for prey and the twelfth month were interchangeable then, and ever since La has been used to refer to both.

　　Since the festival was held on the eighth day of the Last month, people later appended the number eight (ba in Chinese), giving us the current Laba .

　　“滴滴滴”，外公又開車送我去上英語課了。經(jīng)過了十幾分鐘的車程，我們到達了新東方英語的樓下。我飛快地推開車門跑進了電梯，出電梯后馬上沖向了教室，我以為我今天又遲到了，到了教室我才發(fā)現(xiàn)并沒有遲到。我真是太幸運了。

　　一進教室我就情不自禁地喊了一聲：“哎呀！我的媽呀！這，這是人妖嗎？為什么投影儀里面會播放人妖畫面�。　痹瓉硎怯幸粋�同學(xué)在玩投影儀，不小心播放到了里面的人妖片段。“真是嚇我一大跳！”

　　我進教室的時候教室里還只有三個同學(xué)，然后又有兩個同學(xué)陸陸續(xù)續(xù)的進來了。這時，老師來了，我們都異口同聲的“啊~”了一聲，因為馬上又要開始我們最討厭的課前測了。經(jīng)過了短短的十分鐘，老師已經(jīng)喊交卷了。所有的同學(xué)交完卷之后，就一起圍在了老師身邊看他改卷子。這次的課前測題目非常的`難，題量也比以前的多，所以我們大家都錯了很多，連平時成績最好的同學(xué)都錯了很多。

　　改完了卷子老師就開始給我們評講。因為這次我們都錯得比較多，所以評講了很長時間，花了整整半節(jié)課，講完都已經(jīng)到課間休息時間了。一般課間休息是十分鐘，但今天只能休息三分鐘，因為老說今天她有事要提前十分鐘放學(xué)。用7分鐘休息時間換來了10分鐘提前下課，我還是覺得很高興的。

　　下半節(jié)課非常的無聊，因為是講的是我最不喜歡的語法。但我還是硬著頭皮堅持認真的聽完了。講完語法之后又像往常一樣開始做練習(xí)冊了，練習(xí)冊的題還比較簡單，因為都是剛剛才講過的內(nèi)容，我很輕松的就完成了。

　　老師也很快的就改完了我們的練習(xí)冊，剛好6點鐘了，下課時間到。就這樣，我再一次上完了既有趣又有點無聊的英語課。
