The breakaway group in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region says over 89% percent of voters backed independence in its referendum on Sunday.
Roman Lyagin, head of the Central Electoral Commission of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic:
"We have decided to announce the results immediately. Each one of you can see for yourselves that this election was fair. Each one of you was able to visit the polling stations. And we have called you here to give you the results as soon as we had calculated them. We can see that the turnout percentage is quite high but is not a record for a Ukrainian plebiscite (vote) - 74.87 percent."
Donetsk is one of two regions holding referenda on independence from Ukraine.
The results from the other region, Lugansk, suggest that some 96% may have voted for self-rule.
About 3 million ballots have been distributed in towns and cities in the two regions, which have a total population of 6.6 million.
However, Ukrainian authorities and Western countries have denounced the controversial referenda as "illegal."
British Foreign Secretary William Hague:
"These votes (in eastern Ukraine), these attempts of referendum have zero credibility in the eyes of the world, they are illegal by any bodies, standards, they don't meet any standard, not a single standard of objectivity, transparency, fairness, or being properly conducted as a public referendum or election and indeed the people organising them didn't pretend to meet any of those standards."
Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans has said he expects EU foreign ministers meeting in Brussels on Monday to agree to expand sanctions against Russia over Ukraine.
Washington and its European allies are focusing their efforts on the presidential polls in Ukraine scheduled for May 25, and have warned Moscow against disrupting the vote.
However, Russia has said it respects the choice of the people in the two regions of Ukraine, while hoping that the implementation of the referendum results to be processed along civilized lines.
The referenda have been held after Crimea joined Russia in March following an independence referendum in the southern Ukraine peninsula, which was not recognized by Kiev and the West.
Russia is estimated to have some 40,000 troops near the border with Ukraine and says they have been pulled back, but Nato says it has seen no sign of this.

Which is the most important thing in the world?I think it must be health.Health plays an important role in our life all the time.Good health is everything for everybody anytime.However some people think wealth is as important as health.
Have you heard of the old saying that Health is the most wealth for us.Obviously,a healthy person can do almost anything whatever they think.On the other hand,rich people will not be able to fully enjoy the wealth if they are not strong or healthy.Everything has two sides in the world.Wealthy people can buy more healthful food.They also enjoy better facilities to improve their health.So we should try to strike a blance with their viewpoint and gain wealth with healthy body.
Nowadays more and more people are concerned about their health.But how to keep healthy?Different people may give different answers to this question.In my opinion,It is necessary to do the following:
First,it is very necessary to take more exercises everyday.Research shows that getting plenty of exercises make the heart beat faster and the lungs work harder.This strengthens the heart,reduces the chance of heart attack,and helps lower blood pressure.That’s why more and more people becoming actively take part in various kinds of sports and exercises.Some people take more exercise such as shadowboxing and swordplay while others run,jog,walk,dance to music.In the afternoon,there are also many people keep on sports.Some play basketball,football,volleyball or table tennis.Therefore this people become healthier and stronger.
In order to keep healthy.I often eat a lot of vegetables and fresh fruit which are full of vitamins, and less meat such as beef and pork because the meat contains more fat than poultry and fish.
Getting rid of bad habits of smoking and drinking alcohol that is also important idea to keep healthy.Unfortunately few people can obey this advice.
What’s more,I think friends are also important part of one’s healthy.Studies suggest that people with a wide range of social contact less sick than those who don’t.
As far as I know,laughing can increase the body’s ability to fight disease and can’t lead to serious health problems.It may be the best medicine to cure illness.I do suggest fifteen minutes of laughter each day.
There are several other ways to be able to keep healthy,such as getting enough rest and balancing the time spent working and playing.Some people say it makes them more productive at work and gives them more energy.
Enjoy our leisure activities as much as possible.it including things like watching television,traveling,seeing friends and on nice days we have better walk in the woods with friends or visit parks.
In a word,health is the first for everybody in the world.Better health always gives us a good emotion we need to react to an urgent situation.It can keep our bodies and minds strong.But it seems that few of people are very concerned the importance of keeping themselves’s health especially in countryside.

以前我從來都不記英語單詞，現(xiàn)在我每天早上都會(huì)比以前起早一個(gè)小時(shí)來記憶英語單詞，因?yàn)閱卧~是基礎(chǔ)，現(xiàn)在學(xué)的記的單詞都不多，等到以后更加多了，所以我打算在現(xiàn)在開始就記多一點(diǎn)，以后學(xué)習(xí)英語就會(huì)簡單一點(diǎn)，我每次在記單詞的時(shí)候都會(huì)特別的開心，因?yàn)槲矣X得很容易就記住了，以前覺得難就是因?yàn)樽约翰幌矚g英語，沒有重視英語，現(xiàn)在我覺得學(xué)習(xí)英語其實(shí)挺簡單的，雖然年級(jí)高了，英語的難度也會(huì)加大，但是我覺得只要自己努力，沒有什么是困難的。
