from the graph we can see the health gains in developing cotmtries. in l960, the average life span or life epectancy was only 40 years old. in 1990, after thirty years, the life epectancy rose to 60. at the same time, with the life epectancy going up, the infant mortality is coming down. in 1960 the infant mortality was 200 deaths per 1000 births. that is, about 200 infants died at birth among 1000 babies born. in 1990, the infant mortality declined to 100 deaths per 1000 births.
what are the reasons for this situation? i think it lies in three respects. first, economy is developing as time progresses. people am better off than before. second, education plays an important role. people are better educated and more civilized. they are more aware that good health ensures success in life and work, third, the government pays more attention to the protection of the environment. more measures are being taken to deal with the problem of pollution. that is why life epectancy is on the rise and infant mortality on the decline.

“大聲跟我讀——A”鏡頭緩緩拉近，明亮的燈光下一個小姑娘正興致勃勃地當著小老師，告訴你吧，那個老師就是我，至于學生是誰呢？哈，賣個關子，讓我慢慢道來。
最近我發(fā)現(xiàn)媽媽的英語個別發(fā)音很不標準，我心中不禁萌發(fā)出一個念頭—搞個速成培訓班教媽媽學英語。我左哄右騙，死拉硬纏，終于把媽媽這個學生給逼上了梁山，于是我的“teacth”生涯就開始了。
一復習鞏固
根據(jù)我的教學大綱，決定先幫媽媽復習鞏固一下英文字母。我讓媽媽先背一遍字母歌，不背不知道，一聽嚇一跳，媽媽有好幾個字母發(fā)音大走樣，我只好讓媽媽按照我的要求把那些字母每個讀30遍。開始媽媽很虛心，可到后來就不耐煩了說：“我那么聰明只要讀三遍就好了，哪用讀那么多遍呀？”看來媽媽還真是死鴨子—嘴硬，我得改變策略，硬的不行來軟的，我陪著笑臉說：“媽媽，熟能生巧，業(yè)精于勤，你讀得不錯，如果能鞏固鞏固，就更好了�！边@招還真管用，服軟不服硬的媽媽又認真學了起來，不久字母就搞定了。
二單詞訓練
學完字母，當然是學單詞啦！我先教媽媽最簡單的，我本想看媽媽的好戲，沒曾想媽媽又快又標準地“吐”出這幾個單詞，嗯，看來媽媽的基礎還不差，這幾個單詞還難不倒她嗎！我壞笑著決定給媽媽增加一點難度，果然不出我所料，我教的這幾個單詞，媽媽都沒學過，發(fā)音就更別提多走樣了。我反復糾正，可媽媽就是我行我素，正當我苦思冥想著如何糾正時，瞧見媽媽偷偷摸摸地在本子上寫著什么，我很奇怪，趁媽媽不注意之時，一把搶過本子一看，差點笑掉大牙，原來媽媽把“waterbbottle”寫成了“我偷抱頭”，英譯中了，我看了把肚子都笑疼了，我邊學邊把本子還給媽媽，媽用這個笨辦法搞定了不少短語和單詞呢！
三完美考核
眼看我對媽媽的培訓就快告一段落了，我決定給媽媽來一次出其不意的'考試。一天中午，我把媽媽叫到客廳，開始考試，這一考媽媽就露出了廬山真面目，她回答的牛頭不對馬嘴。唉！姜雖然是老的辣，但還是要認真呀！我甩下一句話：“三心二意，一事無成，一定要認真復習�！币院笾灰獘寢層锌�，就總瞧見媽媽在復習，功夫不負有心人，有一天，媽媽來接我，我見機連忙又考起媽媽，媽媽一愣，然后流利地回答起來，聽得出來，那些單詞短語媽媽也是花了心思的。

Like most of my classmates, I regard our biochemistry teacherProfessor Wang Weida as a star teacher, for he has many of the qualities that students appreciate in an instructor.
First, he organizes the class well. We particularly welcome the schedules of assignments that he gives us at the beginning of the term.Having an idea of an entire frame of the knowledge planned to learn in the semester, we are able to budget our time more efficiently.Moreover, Professor Wang promptly corrects and returns papers and tests, which enables students to learn from their mistakes and to produce better work in their next as signments.
Second, he is patient. When introducing new and difficult points, he tries to explain it fully. What＇s more, he pays serious attention to all our questions. In his lecture, we never feel embarrassed to ask a weak or irrelevant question.
Third, Professor Wang expresses himself clearly. He does not speak too fast, and his voice is loud so that it can be heard by everyone in the room.
Finally, he is really an interesting guy. He grasps the attention of his class through his sense of humor. To emphasize important points in a lecture, he often tells witty stories about it and impresses us deeply in laughing.
A thoughtful and dedicated man, Professor Wang is generally regarded as a successful university instructor.
