We are studying in our beautiful school. It's our duty to keep our school yard clean and tidy. It's not good to spit in a public place, such as in the library,in the classroom and our computer rooms. We should neither draw pictures on the wall nor throw any litter onto the ground.I think we must make it a rule to do some cleaning every day in and out of classroom. Now it's hot in summer.Every one of us should have a good habit of health. If every tries his best to do something useful for our school,I'm sure our school will become more and more beautiful.

英語(yǔ)作文 篇3
Dear Tom,
How are you?
I would like to tell you something that took place in my school yesterday. In the afternoon the school held a growing-up ceremony for our coming 18-year-old birthday. At the beginning we made an oath that as grown-ups we should have a sense of responsibility for our society. Next we expressed our thands to our parents who brought us up and to our teachers for their education. Then our teachers gave us cards with good wishes. Finally, we had wonderful performances. I learned a lot from the activity. I am sure the ceremony is very important for us. From then on we will know our responsibilities as grown-ups.
Yours,
Li Hua

I often go to see my grandma and grandpa during my summer vacation. They are both seventy years old and live in the country happily. Summer view of the countryside is very beautiful. I can do many interesting things there. I am used to getting up early in the morning, breathing the fresh air, listening to the birds singing, and enjoying the green trees, red flowers and the river. I like fishing with my friends. When night comes, I sit under the tree with my grandma, listening to her telling me many funny stories. And I tell her some new things happening in the city. When I have to go back,I am always reluctant to go. I really feel happy living in the country.

英語(yǔ)作文 篇5
Should tourists take photos with animals?
Koalas in wildlife parks can‘t fall asleep because tourists keep disturbing them. The movement is thinking to make the tourists’ behaviour illegal to protect the animals.
When people are visiting wildlife parks, they like to take photographs with animals. Reasons for this are varied. Some people may think taking photos with animals are funny in contrast with taking photos with other persons. Others may think that it will be an interesting experience to take photos with animals during their visit.
If I were an animal in the wildlife park, I would feel annoyed when people keep photographing with me. My life would be greatly influenced and I wouldn‘t feel happy at all! I think I should have some private space and time to relax myself.
However, I don‘t agree if it is announced illegal to take photos with animals. Tourists pay for tickets to visit the wildlife park and it will be a pity for them if they can’t have a photo with an animal. Perhaps wildlife parks can set some special time, during which tourists can take photos with animals. It can both satisfy tourists and protect the animals.
英語(yǔ)作文 篇6
The United States has rich and productive land that has provided Americans with plentiful resources for a healthy diet. Despite this, Americans did not begin to pay close attention to the variety and quality of the food they ate until the 20th century, when they became concerned about eating too much and becoming overweight.
By the late 20th century, Americans had become more conscious of their diets, eating more poultry, fish, and fresh fruits and vegetables and fewer eggs and less beef. They also began appreciating fresh ingredients and livelier flavors, and cooks began to rediscover many world cuisines in forms closer to their original.
As Americans became more concerned about their diets, they also became more ecologically conscious. This consciousness often included an antitechnology aspect that led some Americans to switch to a partially or wholly vegetarian diet, or to emphasize products produced organically (without chemical fertilizers and pesticides).
At the end of the 20th century, American eating habits and food production were increasingly taking place outside the home. Many people relied on restaurants and on new types of fully prepared meals to help busy families in which both adults worked full-time. Another sign of the publics changing food habits was the microwave oven, probably the most widely used new kitchen appliance, since it can quickly cook foods and reheat prepared foods and leftovers.
英語(yǔ)作文 篇7
A sentence is defined as a group of words containing a subject, a verb, and a complete thought. If any of these elements is missing, then the group of words isn't a sentence. A fragment is a group of words that is punctuated like a sentence and that is trying to function as a sentence, but one of the necessary elements is missing.
There are several ways to find and correct fragments. Any group of words functioning as a sentence should be checked for the basics. Does it have a subject? Does it have a verb? Does it start with a subordinating conjunction or a relative pronoun that keeps the thought from being complete? If the answer to any of the questions is no, it is a fragment.
Correcting fragments is fairly simple and you have several options. For a fragment that is missing a subject or verb, add the missing element. If the problem is a subordinating conjunction, the conjunction can be removed which would make the fragment a complete sentence. Another option is to join the fragment to another sentence either before it or after it in the paragraph creating a complex sentence.
No matter how you choose to correct the fragment, it is important for you to eliminate them from your writing. Fragments are considered to be a major grammatical error in writing because they indicate that the writer isn't sure what a sentence is. Readers will often not pay attention to the point a writer is making if the reader thinks the writer doesn't even understand how to write a complete sentence.
