　　我的爸爸是個(gè)交警，他每天都忙里忙外的。每次下班，他總是很晚回家。特別是節(jié)假日期間，爸爸更是忙得不可開交。家里老也見不著他的人影。

　　為了適應(yīng)新的形勢(shì)，作為一名警察不但要業(yè)務(wù)精通，而且要不時(shí)地學(xué)習(xí)新的知識(shí)來充實(shí)自己，爸爸單位經(jīng)常要舉行不同的考試，英語考試就是其中的一項(xiàng)。這下可苦了爸爸，因?yàn)樗�是在鄉(xiāng)下長(zhǎng)大的'，所以英語基礎(chǔ)非常地差，沒辦法，只好現(xiàn)在用功了。他每天只要一有空，就會(huì)坐在家里的錄音機(jī)前面跟著讀，還特地叫姑媽給他買了一本英語詞典呢!記得有一次，我放學(xué)回到家，剛走近門口,就聽見了有人在讀英語，我感到很奇怪，想：今天是誰比我回家還早呢?我進(jìn)門一看，原來是爸爸啊。當(dāng)我走到他的身后，爸爸竟然還不知道我來了呢。我拍了拍他的肩膀，爸爸立刻回過頭來，看見了我，說：“兒子，你回來了啊，剛才嚇了老爸一大跳啊�！笨粗�爸爸這么專心致志地學(xué)習(xí)，我放下了先玩一會(huì)兒再做作業(yè)的念頭，于是我就坐在旁邊開始做起作業(yè)來了，突然我聽見錄音機(jī)停下來了，哦，原來是爸爸遇到了一個(gè)不熟悉的單詞，在翻詞典呢，只見他一邊翻著字典，一邊嘴里還默默地念著這個(gè)單詞，當(dāng)學(xué)會(huì)了這個(gè)單詞，又繼續(xù)讀了起來，直到半夜我去解小便，看見客廳的燈還亮著，哦，原來是爸爸還在學(xué)英語呢。一開始我以為我們?nèi)�家我最辛苦了，沒想到爸爸白天要上班，晚上還學(xué)習(xí)，真辛苦啊!就這樣，爸爸用這種堅(jiān)持不懈地精神，慢慢地學(xué)習(xí)著英語。
